Today's Idiom - Day 7

spoon-feed someone

If a person is spoon-fed, they are helped so much that they don’t need to make any effort themselves. They are not encouraged to think by themselves or use their own initiative.
(You can also spoon-feed (feed with a spoon) a child or someone who is frail or ill by helping them to eat.)

"Some teachers tend to spoon-feed their pupils."
